CSAM Health Group realises cost synergies to restore profitability levels

Oslo, Norway, 14 December 2022: CSAM Health Group AS (CSAM), a leading provider of specialised software for healthcare, will implement a group-wide cost-saving program that will ensure reaching the target EBITDA margin of 30% for fully integrated business areas and products, as previously announced in the Q3 report published on 30 November 2022.

• Reduce personnel costs through a combination of non-replacement of voluntary attrition and retirement, as well as redundancies. Between 25 and 35 employees will be notified of redundancy in Q1 2023.
• Together, the total reduction of external consultants and employees will be equivalent to approximately 60 FTEs, with a gross effect of approximately 60 MNOK.
• Any one-off effects related to the restructuring will be booked in Q4 2022.
• Continued focus on gross margin by further reducing COGS, targeting 5% of total sales.
• Reduce other costs targeting 15% of total sales, compared to 20% in Q3 2022.

“After five acquisitions over the last 24 months, we are realising cost synergies through a cost-saving program. This will give us the necessary financial flexibility to continue our growth, especially important in these times of macroeconomic uncertainty and increased cost of capital,” said Sverre Flatby, CSAM CEO. He added “Our growth ambitions remain unchanged and demonstrating the profitability potential inherent in our business model is key to supporting our long-term financing strategy.”

CSAM leverte 12% vekst i 2022, og rapporterer en omsetning for året på NOK 370 MNOK

Oslo, Norge, 28. februar 2023: CSAM Health Group AS (CSAM), en ledende leverandør av spesialistprogramvare for helsevirksomheter publiserte sine resultater for fjerde kvartal i 2022.

CSAM rapporterer en omsetning på 98 MNOK for Q4-22 og 370 MNOK for hele året, en økning på 12% fra 2021. CSAMs forretningsmodell, med langsiktige kunderelasjoner med helseinstitusjoner og akuttvirksomheter i et stadig voksende geografisk område, demonstrerer sin underliggende styrke, også i tider med makroøkonomisk usikkerhet.

CSAM CEO Sverre Flatby kommenterer resultatene:

Vi leverer igjen sterke resultater og solid drift, med tosifret vekst og der 75% av omsetningen er repeterbar. For å styrke vår finansielle situasjon ytterligere og for å posisjonere oss for fortsatt vekst gjennom M&A, befinner vi oss nå i sluttfasen av det tidligere annonserte programmet som tar sikte på å redusere våre kostnader med ca 60 MNOK årlig.

Justert EBITDA var 2,4 MNOK for kvartalet. Rapportert EBITDA for kvartalet var -21%, som et resultat av avsetninger og engangskostnader i forbindelse med omorganiseringen og andre kostnadsreduserende tiltak.

CSAMs organiske vekst nådde 12% målt mot Q4-21, hovedsakelig drevet av økte inntekter fra lisenssalg og økte repeterbare inntekter.

Vi holder stø kurs mot våre langsiktige mål, drevet av sunn vekst og av forutsigbarheten som stammer fra våre langsiktige kunderelasjoner, sier Flatby.

Hovedpunkter fra Q4-22-rapporten;
• Total omsetning 98 MNOK vs. 88 MNOK i Q4-21
• Omsetningen for 2022 var 370 millioner, en økning på 12% fra 2021
• Repeterbare inntekter utgjorde 75% av omsetningen, en økning på 9% fra Q4-21
• Q4-22 viser en organisk vekst på 12% målt i lokal valuta vs. Q4-21 (7% i NOK)
• 2022 organisk vekst på 8% målt i lokal valuta (4% i NOK)
• Implementering av et program for kostnadsreduksjon i hele CSAM Health Group, med fokus på økt lønnsomhet og kontantstrøm fra driften
• Som en konsekvens av avsetninger for restruktureringskostnader, engangskostnader og andre avsetninger i forbindelse med restrukturering og omorganisering, ble rapportert EBITDA for Q4-22 på -21% sammenlignet med -3% for Q4-21
• Justert EBITDA på 2,4 MNOK (2,5%) for kvartalet sammenlignet med -2,8 MNOK (-3%) for Q4-21.
