When managing large quantities of data and identities, security and usability are key components and requirements. NEXT’s Oyster III is a biometric reader designed with this in mind. Meeting FBI image quality standards, it is tested and approved for use within the most demanding authentication, identity and access control environments.
NEXT and Pakistani Digital Data Systems (DDS), one of the leading system integrators in the country, has been working together during 2024 to integrate the Oyster III for use within Pakistan’s national ID program, NADRA. Following the first successful integration, DDS has now placed its first purchase order for NEXT’s Oyster III.
“I am very pleased to announce this first purchase order for our biometric reader. Our Oyster III is designed for secure Windows logon, single sign on (SSO) and enterprise applications. Building on our unique technology, it has already proven its outstanding performance in some of the most demanding biometric markets. In line with our strategy, we continue to expand and grow geographically with our product portfolio”, said Digvijay Singh Kanwar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales IUEA (India, USA, EU and Africa) at NEXT.
DDS has successfully integrated NEXT’s Oyster III in the National Database and Registration Authority of Pakistan (NADRA), a government agency responsible for maintaining a comprehensive database of the country´s citizens. Established in 2000, NADRA is tasked with issuing national identity cards, maintaining records of births, deaths, marriages, and providing various identification services.
Digvijay Singh Kanwar adds:
“This first volume order from DDS is to be used partially for deliveries to NADRA, but also to other clients in the governmental and telecom sector. We are proud to have DDS as our partner and very much look forward to seeing our technology being implemented in Pakistan.”
