will resign from the board of directors with immediate effect.
“We would like to thank Save for his 12 years with the company - nine years as
Director for Trondheim and almost three years as the CEO of Webstep. In
Trondheim, he developed Webstep to become the leading technical provider in the
area. As CEO, Save has led the transformation of the company’s delivery model to
become more market-orientated”, says Kjetil Bakke Eriksen. “However, with
changing market conditions and unsatisfactory financial performance, the board
of directors now sees a need for change and has therefore agreed with Mr
Asmervik that he will step down as CEO for Webstep,” Mr Eriksen continues.
" I’m grateful of the 12-year experience with an exceptional company. It’s with
great honour I am signing off from my duties to leave the responsibilities to
Kjetil Bakke Eriksen who signed me on back in 2011. I wish Webstep and all the
fantastic people a great journey onwards", says Save Asmervik.
The board of directors expresses its gratitude to Mr. Asmervik for his efforts
as CEO of Webstep.
The board has appointed the board’s current chairman as interim CEO until a
permanent CEO takes over. Mr Eriksen served as CEO of Webstep from 2006-2019 and
has a solid knowledge of Webstep’s business and culture. The process of finding
a new CEO will start immediately.
Following discussions with the nomination committee, the board will shortly call
for an extraordinary general meeting to elect a new chairperson after Mr.
Eriksen resigns from the board. Board member Kjell Magne Leirgulen will function
as the contact person for the board until a new chairperson has been elected.
