Probably not Elabs this smart connect. The essens of Elabs tech is crosscommunication regardless of brand. This looks like a motorola-lenovo thing,thats why i think its not Elabs.

The first I want from Elabs this year is a match between income and expenses or that income will be higher. If not,a right issue is coming closer.
Good start in q1 with many more smartphone launches than earlier and severel different brands. They have obviously been too optimistic about the pc market. Lets hope its a matter of (not too long) time before it accelerate.

Husk at Lenovo eier Motorola. Naturlig nok vil de starte med seamless connection mellom Lenovo og Motorola. Ser ingen grunn til at det ikke er Elabs tech utifra dette.

Hvordan tenker du at dette hadde vært plukket opp? Det er jo ikke slik at siden det er en Windows software på toppen at den avslører alt som ligger av software på chipset osv.
Jeg er enig at det er ett «long shot» at det er Elabs, men er mer usikker på det veldig tynne argumentet ditt.
Enn så lenge, så får man krysse fingre og håpe.

La oss ikke glemme perioden fra CES24 (9.–12.1.24) hvor Lenovo var godt representert og hadde masse snacks …hvor det var HELT stille fra Elabs på PC-fronten fram til melding om lansering av diverse ThinkPads 28.2.24, samt litt mer i etterkant. Var mange som trodde Elabs var ute av Lenovo …
Derfor er det i mitt hode for tidlig å avskrive Smart Connect helt.
OBS: Jeg sier ikke at det ER Elabs! Men det KAN være.

Jeg tenker «long shot» på den måten at det er snakket mye om forskjellige seamlessløsninger i laptop oem markedet i det siste. Er blitt litt inn ord på samme måte som digitalisering og ai. Elabs er nok ikke med på alt dette.
Jeg har tidligere hellet litt mer mot Fast Connect løsningen til Qualcomm, men strengt tatt kan det kanskje like gjerne være smart connect.
Det passer ift. inntog av Lenovo modeller og brikkesettene til Motorola Edge. Etter hva jeg har sett fra tidligere, er vel Elabs på en tidligere utgitt Motorola modell.
Jeg er veldig spent på Motorola lanseringen rundt 16.4 og håper selvfølgelig på full pott.
Vi trenger momentum i aksjen og det hadde vært perfekt å komme på banen med den annonserte seamlessløsningen fra Elabs jo før jo bedre.
At aksjen vandrer rundt på 14 tallet er rimelig bedritent.

Fastconnect can only detect devices using UWB/Wi-FI/Bluetooth. Therefore they are opening and shutting down laptop screen in this video by sensing phone location by UWB?
In principle, this differentiates from Ultrasound which does not locate phones or other devices but human presence instead?
But UWB in Fastconnect offers also precise display position and device detection, so it has lots of overlapping capabilities with Ultrasound?

Description by Elabs representative:
- ELABS can recreate many of the features that an UWB sensor provides; however
UWB is always a physical sensor. Thus ELABS allows for eliminating the need for
UWB sensors. - To create a seamless experience, you may use a UWB sensor and its technologies;
however, in the smartphone space, only high-end phones usually have this sensor
(e.g., Apple, Samsung). - Since ELABS software is platform-agnostic and doesn’t rely on such single-purpose
sensors, its possible to create unique user experiences across a wide range of
devices, thus offering a truly seamless experience.
So it seems that ELabs replaces HWB sensors either whole or supplements if a HWB sensor exists.
But it has the capability to replace HWB sensors as such in the PC/Laptop use cases.
Now, next question is that
a) we need to wait for Lenovo to publish existing Win10 models that will have Smart Connect as aftermark software (as described in the news)
b) we need to check from tech. specifications if they have UWB sensors included. If not, then it can be assumed that ELABS is included as an aftermarket software update

Hvorfor skal Lenovo begrense seamless-funksjonalitet til kun motorola? Er det for å booste motorola-salget? Ville det ikke vært smartere business messig å ikke begrense til ett merke og booste alt.
Jeg ser ikke helt rasjonalet når elliptic er både billigere og har bedre kvalitet enn disse andre seamless siden elabs både forsterker/forbedrer og kan stå på egne ben. Det er det eneste som gjør at jeg er usikker på om det er elab-tech. Samtidig så er alt som er beskrevet om seamless og det Lenovo og Qualcomm presenter som hånd i hanske med det elliptics seamless kan gjøre.
Det frister så jæ**** å konkludere med:

Når Lenovo og Motorola har så sterke bånd er det naturlig å først åpne opp for Motorola, for å booste salget. Deretter er det kansje en software update som åpner opp for alle på sikt.
Elabs har ny tech, og som kjent tar det litt tid å innarbeide når man har andre løsninger (HW og dyrere). Men jeg tror det kommer for fullt.

Sier ikke nei takk til en supersyklus på AI-PC. Forutsatt at det påvirker Elabs mer enn AI-trenden alene har gjort (så langt).

to summarize a few points:
- Regarding Lenovo PC’s, the ToF sensors now have smaller volumes than Elabs software (i.e. software is replacing; he used term “we have now outsourced…”)
- When discussing the Seamless senor markets and developments, he is using Lenovo/Motorola as one example. One important point for PC OEM’s is to allow connectivity with Apple products and not just internally within Lenovo/Motorola.
- Feeling that time is good for our AI development and now its easier to discuss with all the players about our technology.
- Big players like Intel, Google etc. could run over us turning us into a law suit firm. However they have decided to sit down with us and co-operate. “We are now embedding everything within Intel for example”. Very big opportunity for us.
- Later when asked about end-user marketing, he tells an example on how they have been “embedded so deeply” into i.e. Lenovo that as Lenovo is selling big bulks of products they cannot be removed from there. So its no point in marketing end users directly about a product that cannot be sensed by humans directly. However the seamless connectivity will be very easily sensed by humans due to connectivity of devices.

Interesting when Lars talk about Lenovo and Motorola. I think there is Seamless from Elabs in Lenovo/Motorola.
Lars also state that Seamless will be huge, because this feature is something people can see and use.
If Elabs go wide with Seamless I think we will see a huge grow over the next 12 months.
