Bra deal for Tyrkia og Pakistan det der. Saudi deler ut penger til de andre to, og de andre to kommer selfølgelig ikke til å stille opp når det trengs…

Tydeligvis flere enn meg som hadde samme tanker om potensiell konflikt mellom NATO sin artikkel 5 og Tyrkia sin inntreden i forsvarspakten i dag siden Tyrkia er så opptatt av å poengtere at DET IKKE ER TILFELLET!

Turkiye says new defence pact aligns with NATO commitments
Turkiye has said its new defence agreement with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia does not contradict its commitments to the NATO alliance.
“The agreement is not in contradiction with the commitments of Turkiye’s existing international alliances, including those at the heart of NATO,” the government’s anti-disinformation service said in a post on X.
In fact, it was an additional cooperation mechanism that supported regional security, the statement added. “Turkiye’s development of regional partnerships is not an alternative to its NATO membership,” it said.
The service said it was responding to “baseless claims and manipulative posts” criticising the new agreement, without mentioning specific attacks.
As we have been reporting, three countries signed the joint decree on Friday in Riyadh, amid renewed fighting in Yemen and the US-Iran war.

Han mangler våpen til å fortsette angrepene ser det ut for:
Ender man igjen opp med at han sier “Europe and the rest of the world go get the oil your selves. Their navy and military is crushed. USA has won.”
Da vil Iran få ut sin olje om ikke annet. Og UAE ser det ut for at allerede får ut sin olje på et vis - kanskje de betaler iranerne for det. Irak, Kuwait og Qatar som blir sittende igjen med svarteper om de ikke vil betale iranerne de også?

Jeg har sitert tidligere fra den siste talen Ali Khamenei holdt før han ble knertet, men i dagens situasjon er den jo enda mer aktuell.

USA har brukt anslagsvis 65%.
Dette er altså missiler til rundt 40-ish mnok pr stk. som brennes av som det var pinne raketter mot i stort «billige» droner som koster knapper og glansbilder i forhold.
Dette er helt galematias og vil uansett ikke skalere eller fungere over tid.
Kan ikke svi av raketter til 40 mill pr. stk som om det var fyrstikker mot tusentalls billige droner.
Mot ballistiske missiler - greit. Men det er jo ikke det patriot først og fremst brukes til nå.

Tror du ikke det vil gå fortere enn det? Pape mener det vil ta et års tid.
Nedsiden ved å trekke seg ut å overlate til andre vil være ekstremt stor og ødelegge US sin troverdighet totalt internasjonalt. Men er muligens den letteste for Trump å selge internt i Us.

Several Iranian officials have spoken today about the status of negotiations with Oman on a new protocol for the Strait of Hormuz, as well as the conditions for reopening the shipping channel. Here are the main points from their remarks:
- Iran’s FM Abbas Araghchi said Iran and Oman are “very close” to agreeing on a new arrangement for Hormuz shipping. However, he said that other conditions, including US compensation for Iran, must be met before the strait is reopened.
- IRGC spokesperson Sardar Mohebi echoed Araghchi’s remarks, saying reopening is subject to “specific mechanisms and conditions” that are unrelated to the ongoing negotiations with Oman.
- Reopening is conditional on the US “fully accepting Iran’s conditions and ceasing to interfere in the regional negotiations”, said Mohebi.
- Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, laid out six specific conditions he said the US must meet for Hormuz to reopen. They are: the US ending its threats to Iran; halting military action against Iran and its regional allies; withdrawing naval and air forces involved in blockading Iran; compensating Iran for damage caused in the conflict; lifting sanctions and unfreezing Iranian assets.

Et lysglimt i ørkenen kan skje i løpet av måneder, men dét er ikke et fungerende atomvåpen for avskrekking. Å få (små nok) stridshoder på raketter er noe helt annet, og jeg tror ikke så mange mener at det ikke vil ta minst et par år?

IRGC har vel hele tiden ville gå for krig eller amerikansk kapitalsituasjon. Også vil den mer moderate siden komme til et kompromiss
Gulfstatene har kanskje ikke noe annet valg enn å betale transittavgifter. Rederiene vil trolig kunne akseptere slike avgifter så lenge de ikke kommer i konflikt med sanksjonene. Det betyr at USA må være med på laget.

What he’s saying: “We are low keying it,” Trump said during a brief phone call.
- “We are only semi-negotiating with them. We are just watching Iran with its huge inflation and the fact they have no money.”
- He stressed that Iran “is in very bad shape” economically and has no money to pay its troops. The U.S. naval blockade has exacerbated the Iranian regime’s economic crisis, Trump said.
- At the same time, Trump said that with oil down to slightly over $75 a barrel, U.S. consumers are feeling less pain from the war.
- “It will work out. It always works out. It’s like a chess game,” Trump said of the back-and-forth with Iran."
