Novo, formerly known as Novo Nordisk

Novo Nordisk today announced that the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has adopted a positive opinion recommending marketing authorisation for FREHEMGO® (denecimig) to treat haemophilia A (HA), with or without inhibitors, in adults and children.

FREHEMGO® is a next-generation factor VIIIa mimetic bispecific antibody, designed as a routine prophylaxis to prevent or reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes in people living with HA, with or without inhibitors.

Novo’s once-weekly Sogroya® (somapacitan) receives positive CHMP opinion in Europe for children with idiopathic short stature (unexplained shortness)

2026-09-18 12:36:39

If approved, Sogroya® (somapacitan) would be the first and only growth hormone treatment approved for idiopathic short stature in the EU, providing a much-needed treatment option for children and their families affected by this condition.

  • The Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has recommended once-weekly Sogroya® (somapacitan) for children in Europe living with idiopathic short stature (ISS) with persistent growth disturbance.
    • ISS is a diagnosis given to children who are significantly shorter than their peers when no underlying medical cause can be found, affecting a child’s confidence and well-being1-4. This affects up to 3% of children worldwide1,6,8.
    • Positive opinion follows the previous recommendation for Sogroya® in the treatment of short stature in children born Small for Gestational Age (SGA) and with Noonan Syndrome (NS) in Europe5.

Bagsværd, Denmark, 18 September 2026 – Novo Nordisk today welcomed a positive opinion from the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), recommending once-weekly Sogroya® for children with idiopathic short stature (ISS) with persistent growth disturbance.

“Through our research and relationships with the community, we know that 70% of families raising children with ISS and other growth disorders feel unseen, and that the impact on their child’s daily life simply isn’t recognised,” said Ashley Gilmer, chief executive officer of International Coalition of Organizations Supporting Endocrine Patients (ICOSEP). “This recommendation is a meaningful signal that this may be starting to change. What matters now is that recognition turns into real support of timely diagnosis, clear information, and access to care for every family who needs it.”

ISS affects up to 3% of children worldwide, yet it remains under-recognised and has limited options for managing its treatment1,6-8. As part of the REAL8 clinical trial, Sogroya® has been assessed for the treatment of ISS and acts as a long-acting growth hormone, given as a single injection under the skin once a week9,10. If approved, Sogroya® would be the first and only growth hormone treatment approved for ISS in the EU, providing a much-needed treatment option for children and their families living with this condition.

“For too long, treatment options for many children with growth disorders have been limited. Building on our decades of experience in growth hormone medicines, we’re committed to changing that. Today’s approval recommendation from the CHMP is a very important step forward for children and their families affected by ISS across Europe,” said Martin Holst Lange, executive vice president, chief scientific officer and head of Research & Development at Novo.

This opinion follows the CHMP recommendation of Sogroya® for the treatment of short stature in children born small for gestational age (SGA) and Noonan Syndrome (NS) in May 20265. The opinion is now passed to the European Commission, whose decision on marketing authorisation, covering all three indications, is expected later this year.

Der kom den @WernerVonHaussenberg

Interessant, helt klart.

Gode poenger, begge to.

By the way, hva var den største skuffelsen nå?

Heller ingen nyheter om oppdatert guiding for året, ingen oppkjøp osv

Denne er også ganske luftig:

Deliver 2026-30 revenue CAGR in line with industry peers

Peers: Eli Lilly, AstraZeneca, Gilead, Johnson & Johnson, AbbVie, Novartis, Sanofi, Roche, GSK, Amgen, Merck & Co, Biogen, Pfizer, Bristol Myers Squibb

Gjetter markedet blir skuffa, btw.

Noen som husker det der “What are we? Browsers!!”-memet?

Ai, ble en smell. Men desto mer fristende å sette bullen snart. Se an tredagersregelen etter dette fallet.

Novo’s CagriSema delivers superior weight loss versus tirzepatide in REIMAGINE 5 trial

2026-09-21 12:24:45

  • CagriSema 1.0 mg/1.0 mg achieved superior weight loss of 12.4%* versus tirzepatide 5 mg of 9.1%* and non-inferior HbA1c reduction at week 60 in adults with type 2 diabetes in REIMAGINE 5.
  • CagriSema 1.0 mg/1.0 mg delivered significant and clinically meaningful weight loss of 21%* versus placebo at week 68 in adults living with overweight or obesity in REDEFINE 9. In both trials, CagriSema was well tolerated overall, with a safety profile consistent with previous studies.

Bagsværd, Denmark, 21 September 2026 – Novo Nordisk today announced topline results from the phase 3 REIMAGINE 5 and REDEFINE 9 trials of once-weekly CagriSema (cagrilintide and semaglutide), an investigational product, and Novo’s next innovation in weight management and type 2 diabetes. The findings were highlighted at Novo’s Capital Markets Day investor briefing.

In REIMAGINE 5, CagriSema 1.0 mg/1.0 mg was superior to tirzepatide 5 mg for weight loss, achieving an estimated average weight loss of 12.4%, compared with 9.1%, respectively. CagriSema also confirmed non-inferior reduction in HbA1c (1.71%) versus tirzepatide (1.67%).

In REDEFINE 9, CagriSema 1.0 mg/1.0 mg provided a weight reduction of 21.0% versus 2.0% for placebo, and the primary superiority endpoint was met. CagriSema also showed greater improvements than placebo across prespecified supportive endpoints, including systolic blood pressure, waist-to-height ratio and fasting lipid profile.

“The results from CagriSema are very encouraging, demonstrating the strong potency of the combination of semaglutide and cagrilintide. With only 1.0 mg/1.0 mg, CagriSema shows superior weight loss versus tirzepatide 5 mg as well as strong results across obesity and type 2 diabetes,” said Martin Holst Lange, executive vice president, Research & Development and chief scientific officer at Novo. “CagriSema remains investigational, but these findings strengthen our confidence in its potential, add to the growing evidence for amylin biology and reinforce our ambition to advance the next generation of treatments for obesity and type 2 diabetes."

Treatment decisions in obesity and type 2 diabetes are often individualised, and not all patients receive or remain on the highest available dose of current therapies. These data provide important evidence of the potential of CagriSema 1.0 mg/1.0 mg, and expand our understanding of how efficacy, tolerability and dose flexibility may support individualised care.

Also during Capital Markets Day, Novo presented data on painful diabetic neuropathy in type 2 diabetes for the first time, showing promising results. More details will be presented at a later time.

1REDEFINE 9, the 1.0 mg/1.0mg CagriSema dose weight-loss at 68 weeks was 20.95%. 1.7 mg/1.7mg CagriSema dose weight-loss at 68 weeks was 20.75% 2Estimated means from the efficacy estimand 3Discontinuation due to any adverse events occurred in 4.9% of people
receiving CagriSema 1.0 mg/1.0 mg, 2.9% receiving 1.7 mg/1.7 mg, and 4.9% receiving placebo

EDIT: limte inn feil slide
