Novo Nordisk enters next chapter to bring better health to more people, supported by ‘Novo’ rebrand and updated corporate culture
2026-09-14 09:05:18
Bagsværd, Denmark, 14 September 2026 – Novo Nordisk marked the beginning of its next chapter today by unveiling a rebrand centred on ‘Lasting Health Starts Now’, and the single ‘Novo’ name, and by updating its culture with ‘ The Novo Way ’ that will enable the company to move ahead with greater focus, speed and impact. Together, the rebrand and ‘ The Novo Way ’ are part of how the company will deliver on its business objectives and its ambition to bring better health to many more people.
“People have always been at the centre of Novo’s science. We have transformed major areas of healthcare, such as obesity and diabetes, by bringing innovation to conditions that affect millions of lives. But the unmet need remains vast, and at the same time, people’s expectations of healthcare are changing,” said Mike Doustdar, president and CEO, Novo. “Healthcare must become more responsive, relevant and easier to fit into everyday life. Our brand and culture are strategically important and will enhance how we operate and compete, but the reason we exist will not change. We remain true to our purpose of changing people’s lives and are ambitious about our future to help them have lasting health, starting right now."
The rebrand
‘ Lasting Health Starts Now’ is at the centre of the rebrand and is based on the idea that lasting health begins today, not someday, through progress people can see and feel day by day. The rebrand will give the company a distinctive, recognisable and consistent way to connect with people, partners and other stakeholders around the world. ‘Novo’ will be used as the name of the company day-to-day, while Novo Nordisk A/S remains the legal global company name. The updated visual identity includes the Apis bull logo rooted in Novo’s heritage, while giving the brand a contemporary and future-fit expression. The rebrand is designed to be more memorable and relevant to the way people engage with their health today. It also reflects the company’s ambition to bring breakthrough science closer to people’s daily lives and to strengthen recognition and trust as Novo reaches more people in more ways.
Corporate culture
‘The Novo Way’, introduced today, is a new set of principles that will underpin the company’s culture, building on the strengths that have defined Novo for more than a century - breakthrough science, deep expertise, care for people, and an unwavering commitment to patient safety - while setting out the behaviours and ways of working needed to innovate and lead in a faster, more competitive and increasingly consumer-driven market.‘ The Novo Way ’ is built around four principles:
- Customer Obsession – We innovate with consumers and patients at the centre of everything we do
- Competitiveness – We raise our performance to create greater value for all our stakeholders
- Clarity – We create focus and speed through clear priorities, simple ways of working and decisive action
- Care & Integrity – We care for our people, show respect, and never compromise on patient safety and ethics
“Brand and culture work together: culture shapes how we reach our strategy and how we work, while brand shapes the value that people attach to our products and services, and how our company is perceived around the world,” said Tania Sabroe, executive vice president, People, Organisation & Corporate Affairs, Novo . “Our updated culture will enable us to move with focus and speed, and our rebrand ensures we show up with relevance and distinctiveness across medicines, partnerships, marketing and stakeholder engagement. Together, these will sharpen our competitive edge and strengthen our role as a trusted partner in healthcare.”
At its Capital Markets Day on 21 September in London, Novo will provide a detailed overview of the updated corporate strategy. Details can be found on the Investor Relations page of novonordisk.com.

Novo:

Buy the rumor sell the news?
Ja, my take også.
Blir bare alt alt alt for teit.

Helst i forgårs.
Orbis Medicines Enters Multi-Target Drug Discovery Partnership with Novo Nordisk Worth up to USD 1.4 Billion
- Agreement includes up to USD 1.4 billion with upfront and potential future milestone payments plus tiered royalties
- Novo will also make a strategic investment in Orbis Medicines
- Collaboration seeks to develop orally bioavailable macrocycle drug candidates for cardiometabolic targets
- Partnership combines Novo’s leadership in obesity and cardiometabolic disease with Orbis Medicines’ proprietary AI-enabled macrocycle discovery platform
COPENHAGEN, Denmark.
Orbis Medicines, a leader in oral macrocycle drug discovery, today announced a strategic collaboration and license agreement with Novo Nordisk to discover and develop next-generation oral macrocycle therapeutics for cardiometabolic diseases. The agreement enables the acceleration of the development of a new class of orally available medicines for high-value therapeutic targets.Under the terms of the agreement, Orbis Medicines is eligible to receive up to USD 1.4 billion in upfront and potential development and commercial milestone payments, in addition to tiered royalties on future product sales. Novo will also make a strategic investment in Orbis Medicines, underscoring its confidence in the company’s nGen platform and long-term potential.
“This collaboration reinforces that the future of oral biologic drug discovery lies at the intersection of AI, proprietary experimental macrocycle datasets and world-class automated chemistry,” said Morten Graugaard, chief executive officer of Orbis Medicines. “Our nGen platform continuously learns from data generated by our high throughput chemistry and screening platform to design orally bioavailable macrocycles with the potential to replace injectable medicines. Together with Novo, we have an opportunity to unlock a new generation of oral medicines for cardiometabolic diseases and demonstrate the transformative potential of AI-enabled macrocycle drug discovery.”
The collaboration will leverage Orbis Medicines’ proprietary nGen platform, which integrates generative AI and high-throughput synthesis capabilities. The platform’s multi-parameter optimization (MPO) engine designs nCycles with good drug-like properties, continuously improved through one of the industry’s largest experimental macrocycle datasets, which Orbis is generating in real time via its lab-in-the-loop nGen platform. nGen seeks to overcome the longstanding oral bioavailability and drug-likeness limitations of macrocycles, enabling rapid discovery of differentiated oral medicines against challenging targets.
“Orbis Medicines has developed a differentiated platform for macrocycle drug discovery, combining deep expertise in macrocycle chemistry with AI-enabled molecular design,” said Brian Vandahl, senior vice president, Therapeutics Discovery, Novo. “We believe this collaboration has the potential to unlock innovative oral treatment options for patients with cardiometabolic diseases while expanding the possibilities of macrocycle therapeutics.”
Novo’s denecimig demonstrates tolerability after switch from emicizumab in FRONTIER5 study of people with haemophilia A as published in the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis
- FRONTIER5 data show investigational denecimig was well-tolerated with no unforeseen safety concerns after a direct switch from emicizumab, without the need for a washout period or loading dose, in people with haemophilia A aged 12 and older with or without inhibitors1
- Most patients reported the denecimig pen injector easy to use compared to their previous emicizumab vial and syringe system, as measured by a device questionnaire1
- Denecimig increased thrombin generation, a measure of blood clotting function, to levels in the normal range throughout the study period as an exploratory endpoint, without causing any excessive clotting1
Bagsværd, Denmark and Plainsboro, NJ, US, 17 September 2026 – Novo Nordisk today announced that phase 3b results from the FRONTIER5 study of investigational denecimig were published in the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. The 26-week results showed that a direct switch to the subcutaneous denecimig pen injector from the emicizumab vial and syringe injection system, without a washout period or a denecimig loading dose, was well tolerated with no unforeseen safety concerns in adolescents and adults living with haemophilia A (congenital factor VIII deficiency) with or without inhibitors. Compared to their previous emicizumab vial and syringe system, most patients preferred the denecimig pen injector and found it easier to use, as measured by the Hemophilia Device Handling and Preference Assessment (HDHPA) as a supportive secondary endpoint. Additionally, exploratory results showed thrombin peak height increased into the normal range and was sustained over 26 weeks, with no clinical evidence of excessive clotting observed after the switch from emicizumab to denecimig across all dosing frequencies.
“What stands out from the published phase 3b data is the well-tolerated switch to denecimig along with the sustained increase in thrombin generation into the normal range,” said Stephanie Seremetis, Chief Medical Officer and CVP for Rare Disease at Novo. "The positive device handling data and majority preference for our injection pen was equally encouraging, and a testament to Novo’s intentional design process with the goal of providing this patient population additional options for administration.”
In the open-label phase 3b FRONTIER5 safety study, 61 adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older with haemophilia A, with or without inhibitors, were enrolled and completed the 26-week treatment period. The primary safety endpoint of the study found that between Week 0 and Week 26 of treatment, there were 107 treatment-emergent adverse events (TEAEs) observed in 43 patients (70.5%), most of which were mild to moderate (98.1%). There were 24 TEAEs that were possibly/probably related to denecimig. Denecimig safety was found to be consistent with findings previously shared from the FRONTIER research program. No thromboembolic events, hypersensitivity reactions, or TEAEs leading to discontinuation were observed, and there was no clinical evidence of neutralizing anti-denecimig antibodies. 1
Haemophilia A is a rare, inherited bleeding disorder where a deficiency in clotting factor VIII hinders thrombin production, impairing the body’s ability to make blood clots and stop bleeding.2 A Biologics License Application (BLA) is currently under review with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for denecimig as routine prophylaxis to prevent or reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes in adult and pediatric patients with haemophilia A, with or without inhibitors, in once-weekly, once-every-two-weeks, or once-monthly dosing frequencies.
“Switching to a new haemophilia treatment typically requires careful spacing between treatments to avoid creating a combined, additive effect on thrombin generation," said Allison P. Wheeler, MD, University of Colorado School of Medicine, Aurora CO. "Additionally, that transition period requires close monitoring and coordination to manage gaps in protection that could increase the risk of breakthrough bleeding. Crucially, patients in the FRONTIER5 study were able to safely switch directly to denecimig without waiting until emicizumab is completely cleared from their system, and without needing an initial loading dose to jump-start their new regimen.”
A supportive secondary endpoint studied among 59 of the 61 enrolled patients showed most participants (98.3%) rated the denecimig injection pen as “easy” or “very easy” to use (Hemophilia Device Handling and Preference Assessment, HDHPA). Most patients (94.9%) reported that the denecimig injection pen was easier to use overall than their previous administration method, and most patients (96.6%) preferred the denecimig injection pen to the previous administration method. Responses were similar across each dosage frequency. See the table below for additional data.1
An additional supportive secondary endpoint studied in 55 of the 61 enrolled patients found denecimig reduced treatment burden by an average (standard deviation [SD]) of 4.7 points (9.0) at week 26, from a baseline total score of 10.5 (10.2), based on the Hemophilia Treatment Experience Measure (Hemo-TEM). See the table below for additional data.1
