Clarkson:

We initiate coverage of OMC Tankers (Oslo: OMC) with a Buy rating and
NOK 55/share target price ahead of its planned listing on Friday. OMC
Tankers is the forward-NAV vehicle created by the Bruton (BRUT NO, Buy)
demerger, owning eight VLCC newbuildings with an average delivery
date around October 2028. We estimate current NAV at around NOK
44/share, rising to around NOK 55/share on a one-year forward basis
without requiring underlying VLCC asset values to strengthen. The equity
case rests on time, scarcity and leverage. OMC’s delivery slots become
more valuable as the vessels move closer to delivery, while shipyards
now largely full into 2030 make its 2028 to 2029 positions increasingly
difficult to replicate. At the same time, OMC’s expected high financial
gearing amplifies changes in vessel values, with every 10% move in fleet
values changing equity NAV by almost 40%. We therefore see OMC as an
attractive way to gain leveraged exposure to VLCC asset values, with the
passage of time itself supporting our target and a stronger asset market
providing meaningful upside.
