continues the strong development in annual recurring revenues (ARR*), with a
growth of 40% year-on-year, to a calculated ARR of NOK 332 million. Hence, more
than 32% of revenue in 2022 was recurring. Q-Free reiterates the strong outlook
and will continue to invest in an ARR business model to leverage on the
opportunities when cities across the world are implementing accelerated
sustainability measures.

“Q-Free is in the middle of a transition from a project-based revenue model to a
higher degree of recurring revenue and scalable software solutions. We continue
to build a solid recurring base and it has been an especially good quarter for
our Traffic Management segment. We launched our Kinetic SaaS platform in October
2022, and we will in the coming years capitalize on the shift in business model
and scalable technology platform,” says Thale Kuvås Solberg, President and CEO
of Q-Free.

The company reported revenues of 305 MNOK in the fourth quarter of 2022 (212)
and an EBITDA* of 30 MNOK (27). The EBIT ended at 15 MNOK (13), and the order
backlog was 1 413 MNOK at year-end, which represents 1.5 times annual revenue.
The company also reported a cashflow from operations at 63 MNOK in the quarter.

reiterates the strong outlook and will continue to invest in an ARR business
model to leverage on the opportunities when cities across the world are
implementing accelerated sustainability measures.

“Using novel technology and open platforms, we create intelligent solutions for
efficient, safe, and eco-friendly transport. The shift in our business model to
recurring revenue, combined with investments in technology and innovation, may
somewhat reduce short-term revenue. However, recurring models create stable,
long-term income and opportunities to upsell,” Thale Kuvås Solberg, Chief
Executive Officer of Q-Free states.

The company reported revenues of NOK 244 million in the first quarter of 2023
(216) and an EBITDA* of NOK 12 million. The EBIT ended at NOK -2 million (-3),
and the order backlog was NOK 1 418 million at the end of the period. The
company also reported a cashflow from operations at NOK 22 million in the
quarter.

Q-Free aims to continue to build its ARR base by continuing the heavy investing
in the launched Kinetic® Mobility platform, pursuing long-term tolling service
contracts which are now out for bid in Europe, expand its ALPR SaaS business in
the US and Europe, and grow its tolling back-office SW business in connection
with new tolling system deliveries. The company also see a shift in customer
needs and requirements with regards to technology and sustainability.

Q-Free: Tolling contract in Norway - 27 MNOK

Q-Free has won a new contract with Vegfinans, a regional toll road company in
Norway. The contract has a value of approximately 27 MNOK and is the result of a
mini tender of the existing frame agreement entered into in 2020. The contract

comprises delivery with service and maintenance for 7 years of a total of 23
toll stations in the eastern part of Norway, whereof 6 are replacement of
existing supplier.

The delivery will start in Q3-2023 and with go-live 1 January 2024 followed by a
service and maintenance period of 7 years.

-This is a project with a very tight timeline for delivery, and we are very
pleased that Q-Free is the preferred and trusted supplier and partner in this
big project. We look forward to working together with Vegfinans. This contract
is the 11[th] contract for toll stations signed by Q-Free in Norway for the past
18 months, and the second with Vegfinans, says Vegard Thomassen, VP Norway and
Denmark Operations.

review (MIR) application software. The base contract is for six years with
extension options. The contract has a minimum value of 26 MNOK and a maximum
value of 48 MNOK if options are exercised by Conduent. The Insight system is
required to process up to 200 million video-based license plate transactions per
year with 99.95% accuracy and read automation rate. The revenue for this
contract will mostly be recognized as recurring revenue starting early 2024.

-This contract represents another key win for us in the growing tolling market
in the USA. It demonstrates Q-Free’s global leadership in ALPR and image review
technology, and also builds our recurring revenue base, says Thale Kuvås

The Q-Free Intrada® Insight automated license plate reading application delivers
predictable 24/7-performance with high accuracy automated machine vision and
integrated human review plate read resulting in low-error rate plate reading for
video toll revenue collection. The system applies advanced network learning and
machine image processing technologies along with innovative manual image review
processes to efficiently automate plate reads - especially complex U.S. license
plates - across any size toll network. The system improves revenue collection,
creates operating cost efficiencies, and reduces errors - in particular with
respect to toll client billing errors.
