In connection with the formation of Sparebanken Norge, through the merger between Sparebanken Vest and Sparebanken Sør, the nomination committee in Sparebanken Vest, based on the premises of the merger agreement, has the following recommendation for board representation in Sparebanken Norge:

All are proposed to be elected for a period of three years, which means until spring 2028.
Election of the employee members and deputy members has been made in separate elections by the employee representatives at the general meeting of Sparebanken Vest. The employee representatives at the general meeting of Sparebanken Vest have elected the following board members and deputy members from among the employees:
• Stig Standal Taule (board member)
• Kristin Axelsen (board member)
• Eiliv Engelsen (deputy member)
• Karen Margrete Riisnes (deputy member)
The current chair of Sparebanken Vest, Arild Bødal, has been asked to continue on the board, but has declined re-election. Bødal has been a member of the board of Sparebanken Vest since April 2011, and chair since March 2019.

Being trusted to fill the role of board member, deputy chair and chair of such an important social actor as Sparebanken Vest over the past 14 years has been both educational and a particularly important social mission for me. I will miss my good board colleagues and the close collaboration with the bank’s skilled management, but 14 years in such a position is a long time, and there is a time for everything. My watch will last until the merger between Sparebanken Vest and Sparebanken Sør is completed in May and Sparebanken Norge is a fact. I wish the bank’s management and the new board all the best, and will cheer them on as they jointly build Sparebanken Norge, says Chairman Arild Bødal.

Arild Bødal has been an incredibly important chair and former deputy chair of the board who has brought continuity and stability to the board of Sparebanken Vest. The recommendation will be presented to the general meeting on 27 March 2025. Case papers for the annual general meeting will be distributed no later than March 6, 2025, and will also include the nomination committee’s recommendation of members of the general meeting and the nomination committee appointed by Sparebanken Vest.
