AF Gruppen has been awarded a contract by Hafslund Celsio for electromechanical work at the Aker Hospital heating plant. The contract is valued at approximately NOK 100 million, excluding VAT.
After reconstruction, the Aker Hospital heating plant will deliver 52 MW of district heating and function as a peak load and reserve plant for Aker Hospital, the city emergency room, and district heating customers in Groruddalen, Oslo.

Subcontract 05 includes the design and delivery of the internal heating plant, excluding bio-oil boilers. The internal heating plant consists of electromechanical equipment, piping systems, pipe insulation, tanks, and necessary steel structures (mezzanine, stairs, and pipe hangers).

Planning and design will commence immediately. Work is expected to start in April 2026, with estimated completion in the first quarter of 2028.
