I think if people discussing a failed acquisition with a specific player and they were in a process, is something that cannot be verified, even if somebody “heard it” from someone, and is this “someone” actually identified. It would be a rumor.
Thats why if nobody got real evidence for that failed acquisition, I think Dobbertin just did his job prepping and facilitating the company for a sale, and the process has moved on, thats why we heard about for the first time mentioned that they are aiming for a sale to China, and I believe the process has went on more then has been communicated.
From “failed customer pay”, to "we have fixed it and “positive developments we remain confident in our ongoing efforts to strengthen the company and capitalize on future opportunities.”, then suddenly “we are selling to China”.
The money runway is a challenge yes, but I think sale has been a planned process all the way, thats why they need money to land it and a lot of checkpoints before goal.
I dont think they planned to grow the company organically to break even, because they went from “the pipeline is so good” and 2 months later “the market is consolidating so we believe in the business if consolidation in the supply chain”. I believe this is just narrative building to gradually preparing shareholders.
