not sure how to put this without coming across as condescending but:
do we all agree that apple devices can talk to other apple devices because both the transmitter and the receiver has airdrop preinstalled from the factory
Same with stock android, it comes quick share
windows phone link by itself will not do anything, and app has to be download on the receiving phone -
“short answer is that it doesnt need any app to accomplish this connectivity” – In this scenario the mere existence of elabs as a company would allow for seamless sharing, It would already be happing on all our existing devices, as if by magic trough the ether
Clearly that is absurd. Elabs has to get their software on both deceives for it to work, either by the manufacturer preloading it (which they in large part won`t, because everyone has their own solution) or the consumer installing it themself.
I would be floored if anyone can show how elabs`s solutions allow sharing between clients (phone/laptops ) where only one party has their software installed - that would be the biggest security risk ever, nothing would safe
The main point is that shes not technically lying, and it
s probably just a badly worded response.
Elabs smart sharing might be able to facility cross sharing without the use of an additional app (as along as both parties has it installed)
But their software solution already is an app! (a third party even) and therefore has no more competitive advantage to other solutions not already built into the os.
