Sale of own shares

HAV Group ASA has today sold 36,186 of its own shares at a price of 13,82 per share (closing price on 9 August 2022), in connection with the share purchase program for employees.

The maximum subscription amount per employee was set at NOK 30,000, and a discount of 15% has been given. The shares are expected to be transferred to the employees’ VPS accounts on 10 August 2022.

Resultat for andre kvartal 2022

HAV Group ASA (HAV Group, OSE:HAV) rapporterte driftsinntekter på NOK 159,9 millioner i andre kvartal 2022, ned fra NOK 303 millioner i samme kvartal i 2021. Svingninger i omsetning er å forvente som følge av selskapets prosjektbaserte forretningsmodell. Driftsresultatet var NOK 13,9 millioner (36,8). Forventet utvikling i det maritime markedet gir gode muligheter, og HAV Group gjentar forventningene om driftsinntekter på NOK 1,3 milliarder i 2025.

• Andre kvartal 2022 var en aktiv periode for HAV Group med flere viktige kontraktsinngåelser, foreløpig godkjenning for hydrogenbaserte energisystemer for skip, og intensjonsavtale om å kjøpe Høglund Marine Solutions, sier Gunnar Larsen, administrerende direktør i HAV.

Selskapet hadde driftsinntekter på NOK 159,9 millioner i andre kvartal 2022, ned fra NOK 303 millioner i samme kvartal i 2021, som følge av lavere utstyrsleveranser, og et driftsresultat på NOK 13,9 millioner (36,8). Selskapet hadde en kontantbeholdning på NOK 299,7 millioner ved utgangen av kvartalet.

HAV Group vil fortsette å søke verdiøkende vekst, både organisk og gjennom konsolidering, og har satt følgende prioriteringer for datterselskapene:

HAV Design:
Utnytte markedsposisjon, kompetanse og kundereferanser for å øke veksten innenfor eksisterende og nye markedssegmenter.

HAV Hydrogen:
Utvikle organisasjonen og produktene i samarbeid med potensielle kunder. Designdokumentasjon for FreeCo2ast-prosjektet er sendt inn til offentlige myndigheter for foreløpig godkjenning. HAV Hydrogen vil lansere et dekksbasert container-system for hydrogen (H2) på skip. Målsetningen er å legge til rette for den kommersielle bruken av hydrogen som drivstoff til sjøs.

Norwegian Electric Systems:
Fokus på internasjonal vekst og ekspansjon innen energidesign og smartkontroll for lav- og nullutslippsteknologi, for å kunne møte den økende etterspørselen etter teknologi som muliggjør energieffektivitet og utslippsreduksjoner.

Norwegian Greentech:
Optimalisering av salgs- og forsyningskjeden for å utnytte BWMS-veksten, styrke livssyklustjenester og utvikle nye havbrukstilbud.

• Vi fortsetter å se stadig strengere miljøkrav for den maritime industrien, og vi vil utnytte vår kunnskap, teknologi og produkter innen digitalisering og bærekraft for å møte disse kravene. På kort sikt er markedet og selskapets prestasjoner preget av generell usikkerhet og enkelte utsettelser, men de overordnede utsiktene holder seg sterke. Forventet utvikling i den maritime industrien gir store markedsmuligheter, og vi gjentar våre utsikter om inntekter på NOK 1,3 milliarder i 2025, avslutter Larsen.

Datterselskap leverer batteripakke til PSV

Offshorerederiet Tidewater har tildelt Norwegian Electric Systems AS (NES) en kontrakt for å levere batteripakke og kontrollsystem for batterilading til plattform forsyningsfartøyet (PSV) «M.V. North Pomor».

Det norske selskapet NES, som spesialiserer seg på bærekraftig energidesign og smartkontroll, skal levere utstyret til «North Pomor» i forbindelse med en kommende oppgradering av fartøyet. PSV-en «North Pomor» ble bygd i 2013 og er allerede utstyrt med diesel-elektrisk fremdriftssystem.

NES skal anvende kompetanse fra selskapets anlegg i Bergen (hovedkontor) og Ålesund for å designe, sammenstille og teste batteripakken og kontrollsystemet. Utstyret skal etter planen leveres i tredje kvartal 2023. NES har ikke oppgitt kontraktsverdien.

Kontrakten er tildelt av Tidewater Rederi AS, som er del av Tidewaters norske virksomhet. «North Pomor» seiler under norsk flagg.

– Myndigheter og samfunn over hele verden forventer at offshorenæringen redusere karbonfotavtrykket sitt. Ettermontering av en batteripakke om bord et fartøy er en effektiv måte å kutte utslipp på. Dessuten bidrar batteripakken til å redusere drivstoffkostnader og driftsutgifter, samtidig som den øker driftssikkerheten til systemene om bord fartøyet. Det forklarer også hvorfor vi opplever økt interesse for ettermontering av batterier om bord offshorefartøy, sier Egil Bremnes, salgssjef i NES.

Repurchase of own shares

Reference is made to the stock exchange announcement from HAV Group ASA (“HAV” or the “Company”) of 30 May 2022 regarding the continuation of the repurchase program of up to 7,000,000 own shares. HAV Group ASA: Subsidiary to equip offshore construction vessel with battery pack

Volstad Maritime has contracted HAV Group ASA’s subsidiary Norwegian Electric Systems AS (NES) to deliver the battery pack and associated control system for battery charging to the Grand Canyon III offshore construction vessel.

“The demand for retrofitting battery power on board offshore vessels continues to grow as many shipowners, such as Volstad Maritime, are dedicated to reducing their carbon footprint. Lower operating expenditure through reduced fuel consumption is an additional, attractive benefit,” says Egil Bremnes, sales manager at NES.

NES, which specialises in sustainable energy design and smart control, will provide the equipment to the Grand Canyon III in connection with a vessel upgrade in early 2023. The company will manage the project from its headquarters in Bergen, Norway. NES has not disclosed the value of the contract.

Before the summer, NES signed a similar contract for Volstad Maritime’s subsea construction vessel Volantis. While the Volantis battery pack will be installed in a dedicated battery room, the battery pack on board the Grand Canyon III will be installed in a container below the deck.

“Installing the battery pack as a container-based solution can be very cost-efficient for vessels since you do not need to build a dedicated battery room”, says Trond Volstad, project manager at Volstad Maritime.

“Delivering the battery system in dedicated containers will also allow us to conduct extensive testing of the equipment prior to delivery. This means that the yard stay can be shortened correspondingly, allowing the vessel to return to operation as quickly as possible,” says Egil Bremnes.

Grand Canyon III is a 127.5 long and 25 metres wide offshore construction vessel. It is equipped with a 250-tonne offshore crane. Following the upgrade to battery power notation in early 2023, the vessel will enter a five-year charter with Helix Energy Solutions.

Volstad Maritime, headquartered in Aalesund, Norway, was one of the first offshore owners to achieve the ISO 50001 accreditation for Energy Management Standard. Installing batteries on board Grand Canyon III will take these efforts another step forward.
