announces a revised guidance for the full year 2018, with expected revenues

around USD 270 million and Bluetooth growth of 20 to 25 per cent. This implies a
revenue for the second half of 2018 of around USD 140 million and a Bluetooth
growth of 5 to 7 per cent, compared to the company’s previous revenue guidance
of the low end of USD 150 to 160 million and Bluetooth growth of 20 to 25 per
cent. The gross margin expectation remains at around 50 per cent for the second
half of 2018.

The Asian markets, and in particular the Chinese market, are currently
characterized by high uncertainty related to the ongoing trade tensions between
China and the US, including the announced tariffs on imported goods between the
two countries. This results in temporarily weaker demand and thus lower expected
revenues and Bluetooth growth for the fourth quarter of 2018 than previously
expected.

“Both our distributors and their customers are currently awaiting the
consequences of the ongoing trade tensions between the US and China, impacting
our sales for this quarter, as well as our projected growth going forward. This
uncertainty also reduces our visibility,” comments Svenn-Tore Larsen, CEO of
Nordic Semiconductor.

“However, looking beyond this short-term volatility, we remain confident that
global megatrends, such as increased demand for connected devices from the
Internet of Things (IoT), strong interest in healthcare and smart home
solutions, support a continued strong growth for us going forward,” Larsen adds.

With regards to guidance for 2019, this will be announced in connection with the
Q4 2018 presentation.

The nRF9160 has received GCF certification—the trusted mobile communications
industry ‘quality mark’ for compliance to the 3GPP LTE specification and global
cellular network interoperability—along with separately required FCC and CE
regulatory certifications. This means the nRF9160 SiP is approved for deployment
in cellular networks and cellular IoT product applications around the world.

The general availability of the nRF9160 SiP will make cellular IoT wireless
technology accessible to any application due to the unique ease with which the

Jeg har selv brukt nedturen til å kjøpe meg betydelig opp. Hvorfor har jeg gjort det ? La oss si at jeg har 30 års+ erfaring fra tjenesteutvikling innen telecom og har vært i front på å skape nye tjenester og ødelegge eksisterende verdikjeder. Med 5G og nye IoT enheter i kombinasjon med sky tjenester vil gi oss nye tjenester vi vil etterspørre privat og på jobb. I mine øyne vil dette skje, men jeg innrømmer at jeg har vært usikker på NOD fordi jeg kjenner ikke godt nok til semiconductor markedet og hva som kreves for å lykkes,. Men detter gjør Geir. Ser man kun på tallene er de priset svært høyt i dag. Mye er rundt markedsandel og forventet vekst innen BLE. I Q4 ble de nesten slaktet helt pga litt forsinkelse i Kina. Kom igjen, se litt lengre frem enn Q4 2018 og Q1 2019. NOD og ledelsen gjør det og kjøper aksjer. Når Geir Førre også går mens prisen er lav , vrengte jeg lommene og kjøpte det jeg fikk tak i på 28. Aksjene puttes i skuffen og skal ligge der i min 18 måneder. Mulig at jeg supplerer når jeg snur rindt på portefølja i Q2.

Enig i at Førre godt kan være en god bjellesau innen dette feltet.

Men: Hvor stor prosentandel av hans midler utgjør dette kjøpet?
