Oceanteam ASA’s Vessel Owning Companies agree with Financiers on Amendment of Facility Agreement

Lysaker, 5 August 2020

Oceanteam and its joint venture partner Bourbon have agreed with the financiers of the jointly owned Vessels to defer the Q1, Q2 and Q3 instalments for 2020 under the Vessels’ Facility Agreement until its expiry in 2022 to allow for flexibility to perform planned capex activities on both Vessels this summer and to cater for the reduced utilisation of the Vessels.

Oceanteam ASA- Resignation of Board Member

Further to the earlier announcement made at the Annual General Meeting of Oceanteam ASA (the “Company” or “Oceanteam”) on 7 May 2020 that board member Hendrik Johannes Jesse would not be available for a renewal of his board position, Mr. Jesse has informed the Company that he resigns from the board of directors (the “Board”) of the Company per 15 August 2020. The Board will as soon as practically possible call for an extraordinary general meeting of the Company for appointment of one additional director.

Oceanteam and its joint venture partner Bourbon have agreed with the financiers of the jointly owned Vessels to defer the Q4 instalments for 2020 and in respect of Bourbon Oceanteam 101 also the Q1 2021 instalment under the Vessels’ Facility Agreement until expiry of the Facility Agreement in 2022 and in addition to the already deferred earlier instalments of 2020. The deferrals cater for the reduced utilisation of the Vessels in 2020 due to lower market activity and extensive class and repair works on the Vessels.

In November 2020 Southern Ocean has commenced her charter with Fugro for activities offshore Australia and Bourbon Oceanteam 101 is currently awaiting finalisation of repairs in Spain. Oceanteam notes ongoing tendering interest for both Vessels for contracts in 2021 and beyond.

Oceanteam Solutions secures new contract for 2000T carousel in Asia – transport & rental - strategic relocation of equipment

Oceanteam Solutions has been awarded a new contract for the transport and rental of a 2000T carousel spread required for umbilical installation in Asia. The mobilisation and departure from Oceanteam’s Velsen yard is planned in December 2020, to deliver the equipment mid Jan 2021 in Shenzhen (China), for umbilical installation during Q1 2021. Project management, engineering and operations will be provided by Oceanteam.

Oceanteam intends to utilise the equipment after this contract in the Asia region to facilitate cost and time effective mobilisation on new prospects. The company aims to expand its cable-solution services to the offshore renewable industry in this region. The 2000T carousel is suitable for use on offshore installation vessels or barges, and for cable storage and logistics.

CSV Southern Ocean has already proven its deepwater capabilities in 2018-2020 to full satisfaction of its previous clients”. Boskalis’ primary activity under this contract will be the transport and installation of suction pile anchors and mooring chains.

The CSV Southern Ocean is a DP2 Construction Support Vessel (dynamic positioning class 2) with large subsea cranes (1 x 250 tonnes and 1 x 90/110 tonnes active heave compensated), full ROV spread, 2400 m2 deck space, approximately 10.000 tonnes DWT, extensive accommodation and excellent seafaring capabilities.

These characteristics enable Southern Ocean to be utilised for field support, construction, installation and IRM work. Combined with additional deck equipment such as reels and carousels and engineering capabilities CSV Southern Ocean can be utilised for a variety of projects in the oil and gas-, power- and offshore renewables markets.

CSV Southern Ocean is jointly owned by Bourbon and Oceanteam.
