"The bull case is the two-step Algeta template: partner first, get acquired second — and the second step is where the numbers get silly.
Step one: the deal itself
A competitive process for a de-risked alpha emitter would plausibly land at USD 100–200m upfront (NOK 1–2bn), USD 500m–1bn in milestones, and royalties in the high teens to low twenties.
Note that the upfront alone is 4–8x Oncoinvent’s current enterprise value. Bayer’s original 2009 Algeta deal was ~$61m upfront against ~$800m in milestones, and radiopharma deal sizes have inflated substantially since.
The structural prize is that a partner funds phase 3. That removes the NOK 1–1.5bn raise I flagged earlier, so there’s no dilution and existing holders keep full per-share leverage. On a partnered basis, a NOK 4–8bn market cap is defensible — roughly NOK 650–1,250/share on today’s 6.3m shares.
Step two: the takeout
Recent radioligand M&A: Lilly/Point ~$1.4bn, AstraZeneca/Fusion ~$2.4bn, BMS/RayzeBio ~$4.1bn, Bayer/Algeta ~NOK 17.6bn.
Oncoinvent with a positive randomized phase 2 sits at or beyond Fusion’s stage at acquisition. NOK 20–40bn translates to NOK 3,000–6,000/share. The per-share figures look absurd only because the share count is tiny."
