StrongPoint ASA: Third Quarter 2021 Results

21.10.2021 07:00:01 CEST | StrongPoint | Half yearly financial reports and audit
reports / limited reviews

(Oslo, Norway, 21 October 2021) StrongPoint ASA (StrongPoint, OSE: STRO)
reported revenues of NOK 196.4 million in the third quarter of 2021, down from
NOK 215.2 million in the same quarter in 2020 due to tight global supply chains,
lower than anticipated grocery locker roll-outs and last year’s unusually large
and quickly deployed ESL project. EBITDA ended at NOK 8 million (21.4) impacted
by investments in e-commerce and lower sales. StrongPoint reiterates the
financial ambition for 2025.

“The fundamentals and long-term prospects for grocery retail technology and
StrongPoint’s solutions continue to be positive. However, unprecedented recent
global turbulence is impacting us and prolonging sales and delivery cycles.
Together these recent trends are negatively impacting our short-term financial
results. Whereas we are on a journey to shift more of our business to be
recurring, we still are to a large extent a project-driven company. Hence,
comparing the financial results this autumn with last year’s record high project
activity level does not alone give a correct assessment of our progress,
achievements and long-term product-market fit,” says Jacob Tveraabak, Chief
Executive Officer of StrongPoint.

StrongPoint reported revenues of NOK 196.4 million (215.2) in the third quarter
of 2021 and an EBITDA of NOK 8 million (21.4). The EBIT was NOK 1.4 million
(14.8) and EBT was NOK minus 0.5 million (16.4). Profit from discontinued
operations was NOK 165.5 million (3.8) linked to the divestment of Labels
business area in the quarter. The cash position ended at NOK 186.2 million.

The topline decline was due to postponed CashGuard installations related to the
global shortage of components, lower than anticipated grocery locker roll-outs
to new markets and last year’s unusually large and quickly deployed ESL project
in Norway. The EBITDA* reduction reflects increased investments in
e-commerce-related R&D, sales resources, marketing activities and IT security as
well as lower than expected sales.

“Our engagement with top grocery companies in Spain is deeper than ever in the
wake of the Glovo partnership announcement. In the quarter, we won and initiated
the roll-out of our E-commerce Order Picking solution to a top ten grocery
retailer. Furthermore, our first ever self checkout solution was also installed
within the GM Food retail chain. We remain very positive on the long-term
prospects of the Spanish market. In September we announced our partnership with
AutoStore which provides us with the rights to sell, install, service and
support AutoStore facilities in the Nordics and Baltics. Being selected by such
an esteemed technology provider as the world’s first grocery distributor of its
fulfilment solution is a testament to our world-class solutions, customer depth,
expertise and team of which I am extremely proud,” Tveraabak continues.

In a strategy update session in the first quarter of 2021, StrongPoint
reconfirmed its target of becoming retailers trusted in-store and e-commerce
technology provider, with a strategic ambition of NOK 2.5 billion in revenues
and EBITDA margins of 13-15 % in 2025.

“Although an isolated choppy quarter and autumn I am excited and confident on
our journey ahead. Our investments in product development, sales resources and
marketing will continue and further materialize. The depth and relevance with
our grocery customers and customer prospects in target markets is as strong as
ever, and we are just starting to get known and be respected amongst some of the
largest grocery retailers internationally. With all this, I continue to believe
we have all the reasons to be optimistic about achieving our 2025 strategic
ambitions,” Tveraabak concludes.

StrongPoint ASA will present the financial results for the third quarter and
year to date of 2021 at 08:15 CET Thursday 21 October 2021. The link to the

Grocery Retailer Salling Group expands e-grocery pickup offer with StrongPoint Grocery Lockers

2022-02-02 11:36:05

2.2.2022 11:36:04 CET | StrongPoint | Additional regulated information required to be disclosed under the laws of a member state

(Oslo, 2 February 2022) StrongPoint, a leading retail technology provider, announces that Salling Group, the largest grocery retailer in Denmark, has ordered additional grocery lockers from StrongPoint as well as adding modules to their current locker installations from StrongPoint for their føtex chain.

StrongPoint has been working with Salling Group since 2019 when it first won a competitive tender for a pilot project for temperature-controlled click and collect grocery lockers. The initial pilot included lockers at five store locations. Following the success of the first roll-out Salling Group has decided to install StrongPoint grocery lockers in eight new locations and add additional capacity to their existing units as they continue to expand their e-grocery pickup offer.

“We have been piloting StrongPoint grocery lockers with our føtex chain which has been a great success. Therefore, we are now ready to expand the offering to even more stores in 2022 and continue building on our strong partnership with StrongPoint. Our customers love the option to pick up groceries in a flash, while for us we appreciate that we can fulfil orders extremely quickly which creates efficiency savings. The solution is easy to install and operate and fits perfectly into our strategy of serving our customers anyway they want to shop online. We look forward to the expanded collaboration with StrongPoint and to bring grocery lockers to even more customers in Denmark,” said Kristoffer Schmidt Sørensen, Head of Omnichannel & Strategy, føtex.

“We are proud to continue partnering with Salling Group to further expand their e-grocery pickup offer. As the demand for e-groceries increases, existing grocery retailers have opportunities to leverage their store network by turning them into digital e-grocery pickup hubs. With grocery lockers they have the benefit of providing a pickup solution at speed and scale that is convenient and efficient for both customers and retail staff. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Salling Group to expand and scale their e-grocery offer,” said Jacob Tveraabak, StrongPoint CEO.

StrongPoint ASA: Strategy update and fourth quarter financial results 2021

15.2.2022 07:00:02 CET | StrongPoint | Half yearly financial reports and audit
reports / limited reviews

(Oslo, Norway, 15 February 2022) StrongPoint ASA (StrongPoint, OSE: STRO)
reported revenues of NOK 284 million in the fourth quarter of 2021, NOK 5
million lower than same quarter in 2020 (289). The EBITDA increased by NOK 0.2
million to NOK 20.1 million (19.9). StrongPoint today reconfirms the financial
ambition of NOK 2.5 billion in revenues and EBITDA margins of 13-15 % in 2025.

“We look back at a year where StrongPoint has significantly improved its
position in light of these market developments by landing several strategically
important wins, including Glovo customer win, AutoStore distributor rights,
Hörmann Logistik partnership and Halodi Robotics strategic partnership. In the
latter half of 2021 global component shortages have affected our ability to
deliver on already placed customer orders. Despite this, our team is doing a
tremendous job delivering a record year, and a Q4 that stands just shy of last
year’s record high fourth quarter. Adjusting for currency effects, our revenues
actually grew 2%” says Jacob Tveraabak, Chief Executive Officer of StrongPoint.

StrongPoint reported revenues of NOK 284 million (289) in the fourth quarter of
2021 and an EBITDA of 20.1 million (19.9). The fourth quarter EBIT was NOK 12.8
million and EBT was NOK 10.9 million. The net profit after tax included
discontinued operations ended at NOK 9.2 million in the quarter. Cash flow from
operating activities was NOK 7 million.

“In September, we were selected as the first ever grocery specific distributor
for AutoStore. Following this partnership, we announced yet another important
partnership in November to support our customers with automated e-commerce
fulfilment with Hörmann Logistik. Hörmann Logistik’s hands-on experience with
AutoStore and geographic distribution rights in the DACH region, is the perfect
match with StrongPoint’s grocery retail and e-commerce experience and geographic
distribution rights for AutoStore in the Nordics and Baltics. Despite the
partnership being relatively new, we have already started working together on
concrete customer enquiries in the fourth quarter and are encouraged by the
opportunities going forward,” Tveraabak continues.

In a company strategy update session following the presentation of the fourth
quarter 2021 financial results, StrongPoint will outline the progress already
made on its 2025 targets. It will outline how technology continues to be the key
to meeting the increased demand of grocery e-commerce and its impact on in-store
margins.

In 2021 StrongPoint updated its strategy to achieve its 2025 ambitions with a
T-shaped approach to geographical expansion and growth. This remains the case
and includes additional distribution rights of AutoStore micro-fulfillment and
humanoid robot from Halodi Robotics for the retail sector.

“I am excited and confident about the future. We have strong market fundamentals
in place, our own proprietary as well as partner solutions which are
world-class, and we are continuously improving our team resources to deliver on
the strategy and ambitions set forth. The depth and relevance with our grocery
customers and customer prospects in target markets is as strong as ever. And we
are just starting to get known and be respected by some of the largest grocery
retailers internationally. With all this, I continue to believe we have all the
reasons to be optimistic about achieving our 2025 strategic ambitions,”
Tveraabak concludes.

StrongPoint ASA will present the financial results for the fourth quarter of
2021 at 08:15 CET Tuesday 15 February 2022. This will be followed by an extended
