Kan AXL-hemmere brukes i forbindelse med influensa-virus eller andre virus og i så fall hvilken type virus?

Vet ikke med influensa, men det ser lovende ut for sekundær lungebetennelse som kan oppstå ved Inlfuense, COVID-19, RSV osv.!

The RSV infections of the lower respiratory tract account for 64 million cases of pneumonia and approximately 200,000 deaths annually (4, 5). Various bacteria, such as Streptococcus pneumoniae , Staphylococcus aureus , non-typable Haemophilus influenzae , and Moraxella catarrhalis frequently colonize in patients with RSV-associated pneumonia (6–8). Furthermore, RSV infection is associated with a higher risk for bacterial pneumonia (9–11). These clinical observations indicate that human RSV infection increases the susceptibility of patients to subsequent bacterial infection."
" BGB324 specifically inhibits the catalytic and procancerous activities of Axl, but does not affect the binding between Gas6 and Axl (30). The results of Axl activity inhibition by BGB324 treatment concurred with the findings of anti-Axl mAb treatment (Supplemental Figure 4, A–G). The inhibition of Axl restored the protective immunity to pneumococcal infection. Thus, the Gas6/Axl axis is a promising drug target for reducing the bacterial burden upon secondary bacterial infection."

Ja, det gjorde meg litt mer sikker på at resultatene fra COVID-19 studien kan ha et positivt utfall. Dette er ikke samme studie som ble gjort i USA av W . Maury hvor de så at den hindret COVID-19. Dette er fra en helt annen uavhengig forskningsgruppe fra Tokyo Japan. De har ingenting med Bergenbio som selskap å gjøre. Når to uavhengige grupper med forskere finner noe slikt som peker i samme rettning så blir jeg litt svett

Dessverre ser det ikke ut som at markedsaktørene er av samme oppfatning. Skjønner ikke helt hvorfor kursen skal såpass mye under emisjonskursen.

Jeg kunne ikke brydd meg mindre om hva markedsaktører mener fra nå og frem til read-out av ACCORD om 2-3 mnd. De har pengene de trenger i mellomtiden og markedsaktører bestemmer ikke utfallet av den studien.
Det jeg postet er en ny studie som viser hvorfor bemcentinib kan lykkes i studien de gjør. I mine øyne er det større en at aksjen har beveget seg ned 2-3 kr siden sist.
