A very good question raised by Nathan Millard, especially when comparing LNC with polymer-based solutions like hydrogels.
Most soil additives today are designed as temporary inputs.
They deliver short-term results, then degrade and require replacement.
𝗟𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 C𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆.
It is a 100 percent mineral material.
It does not degrade like polymers.
In field conditions, we consistently observe stable performance for up to 5 years.
But more importantly, it does not just “sit” in the soil.
It integrates into the system.
LNC binds sand particles with organic components such as humic substances, forming a more stable soil structure over time.
This shifts the soil from a loose, fast-draining medium into a functional water-retention system.
As this structure develops:
• Soil moisture becomes more stable
• Microbial activity improves
• Soil organic matter begins to accumulate
This is a key point.
𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀.
We are enabling the soil to build itself into a more stable and efficient system.
After around 5 years, a top-up is recommended, typically 20 to 30 percent of the initial volume.
Not because the system fails, but to maintain optimal performance as conditions evolve.
This is always guided by soil analysis and field data.

It behaves as a structural improvement to the soil.
A long-term layer that controls how water moves, how nutrients are retained, and how the system performs.
