Sandefjord municipality has used Documaster as its prime archive and information management hub for years. However, the data and documents need an improvement in classification and meta data to support the future needs for effective public services.
Simplifai will apply its AI-driven Documentbot to create a pagewise reclassification of Sandefjord municipality’s entire archive, and extract additional meta data from the archive. All data and documents will be restored to the Documaster archive hub and integrated into Sandefjord municipality’s workflows.
The optimizaton project will increase the user-friendliness the archive, enabling quicker and easier access for both council employees and inhabitants in Sandefjord. In total, some 400 shelve meter of archived documents will be processed.
In April last year, Simplifai entered into a strategic partnership agreement with fast-growing document management company Documaster. As part of the agreement, Documaster will include Simplifai’s AI-driven systems in its offering to public and private sector clients in facilitating automatic receipt and management of e-mails and user or customer enquiries, including documents that needs to be managed.
“We are delighted to be involved in another major archiving project, which can be an important contributor toward digitalizing and modernising Norwegian public sector. Trondheim was first out and now it is Sandefjord’s turn. These municipalities should be commended for its efforts to make public sector even more efficient, to the benefit of the people living there,” says Bård Myrstad, VP of Simplifai.
Simplifai will deliver its scope of work on the Sandefjord project as a subcontractor to Documaster. Utilisation of Simplifai’s Documentbot solution will generate monthly recurring revenues to Simplifai.
“The partnership with Documaster is showing promising results, but we believe that we have so far only seen the tip of the iceberg in terms of application of our joint technology offering in the Norwegian public sector,” adds Bård Myrstad.
Sandefjord municipality is based in Vestfold and Telemark county in Norway. The municipality has approximately 64,000 inhabitants, making it one of the most populous municipality in the county.
