Kina var kjøper av olje fra Iran og Venezuela. Land som ikke var US-rettede i motsetning til mange av de andre landene i Midt-Østen.

Russland, i don’t see it gitt DJTs tilsynelatende fascinasjon/beundring for Putin. Hvis det er tilfelle: Da er det mange nivåer her.
Jeg tenker det også kan handle om at dette er land som er (og har vært) USA-uvennlige.
Enig, Trump vil at det skal koste å være USA-uvennlig.
Det er ikke så rart, for Kina er en stor importør av olje (i motsetning til USA).

"Let me say a few words first, and then I would like you mr. President to deliver your opening remarks.
Presiden Trump, I am very pleased to meet you in Bejing, welcome back to China, after 9 years.
The whole world is watching our meeting. Currently transformation not seen in a century is accelerating across the globe, and the international situation is fluid and turbulent. The world has come to a new cross road. Can China and the US overcome the “Thucydides Trap”, and create a new paradigme in major countries relations. Can we meet global challenges together, and provide global stability for the world. Can we in the interst of the well being of our two people, and the future of humanity build a brighter future together for our bilateral realtions. These are the questions vital to history, to the world and to the people. They are the questions of our time that you and I need to answer as major countries.
This year is the 250th anniversary of american independance, congratulations to you, and to the american people. I always belive that our two countries have more common interest than differences. Sucessin one is opportunity for the other, and a stable bilateral relationship is good for the world. China and the United Statses stand to gain from cooperation, and loose from confrontation, we should be partners not rivals. We should help each other succeed and prosper together, and find the right way for major countries to get along well with each other in the new aera.
Mr. President, I look forward to our discussions on major issues to our two countries, and to the world. And working together with you, to set the course for and steer the giant ship of US relations.

"Well, President Xi I will thank you very much, and first of all it was an honour, like few has ever seen before, and I think I was particulary impressed by those children, they were happy, they were beautiful. The military were obvious, they couldn’t be betterm but those children represents so much, and I know they representsso much to you
You and I have known each other now for a ong time, and in fact the longest relationship of our two countries that any president and president has had, and it is to me an honour.We have had a fantastic relationship, we have gotten along when there where difficulties we worked it out. I would call you, and you would call me when ever we had a problem, and everyone know that whenever we had a problem we worked that out very quickly, We are going to have a fantastic future together, such respect for China, and the job you have done and you are a great leader, I say it to verybody, you are a great leader. Some times people do not like me saying it, but I say it anyway, because it is true, I only say tnigs that are true. And will only say that on behalf on all our great delegation we have, we have the greatest business men, the biggest, I guess the best in the world. We have amazing people, and they are all with me. Every single one of them, we asked the top 30 of the world,and every single one of them said yes. And I did not want the second or ther third comapny, I wanted only the top, and they are here today to pay respects to you, and to China, and they look forward to trade and doing business, and is going to be total reciprical on our behalf.
So I really do look forward to our discussion, it is a big discussion. There are those who say that this is maybe the biggest discussion ever, they can never remember anything like it. And I can say that in the United States peopler are not talking about anything else.
